Influence of spatial geometry, proportion and organization on human behaviour – Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC)

1. Use the criteria set out by Le Corbusier in the reading and give us a brief summary of the reading in the beginning.

2. Then, include Smith’s summary on Le Corbusier work that says:  Le Corbusier’s designs try to express that architects define and enclose the space by creating bounded areas for human inhabitation with each having a special geometry, proportion, and relationship to the interior and exterior spaces (Smith, 2013).

3. Argument:
By house, Le Corbusier is referring to a dwelling, rather than a large institutional building like the DIFC BUT I realized that his ideas are adaptive, meaning that it could be applied to any architectural project regardless of their scale, either a small house or a big institutional building like DIFC.

4. Then bring up the 5 points Le Corbusier discusses in his reading (1. To Classify  2. To Dimension  3. To Circulate  4. To Compose  5. To Proportion). State those points and analyze them with respect to the DIFC Building.
