Write a 4 to 5-page essay where you justify including 3 poems in an anthology. For each poem, include a poetry explication that compares how 3 poems address the same or similar issues. For example, you might choose to examine how 3 poems speak about the same historical moment (i.e. the Vietnam War) or how 3 poems examine a particular social issue (i.e. hunger and poverty). Two of your poems must be ones that we’ve read for homework or in class; the other needs to at least be in your textbook. You must include a name for your anthology, explain your anthology’s theme, and explain what chapter of your anthology these three poems would be included.
