Details
Many of our texts thus far prominently feature individuals who evolve and change over the course of their respective narratives, particularly in response to challenging circumstances that test their character and integrity. Write an essay that examines this development of character across TWO of our course texts assigned before the midterm (i.e., The Odyssey, The Rāmāyana of Vālmīki, and Henry V). How do your two chosen characters change over the course of their respective narratives, and what provokes this change? Is this evolution of character a positive or a negative one and what are its effects? Do these changes alter your opinions of these characters? Why or why not?
