(better, but still poor) The setting in the story is Spain and the point of view is third person dramatic. These things are related to the theme of abortion.

(best) The idea in Hemingway’s “Hills like White Elephants” is that life is very fragile and should be fully appreciated. This idea is demonstrated through the story’s point of view and setting.
